Whirlwind
It's been a wild morning! Had to pick up the kids at 7 a.m. to take them to the airport. I woke up two minutes before my alarm went off. I never get up that early and all of the critters were thrown completely off center. They weren't sure what to do. Eli was completely discombobulated. I left everybody in Dad's care with strict orders to keep tabs on Dash!
After dropping the couple off at the airport, and with my grands in tow, we headed for home. We made a quick stop at the house to let the kids say hi to Pap, then set off to find breakfast - stuffed waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon and fruit. They were hungry. During breakfast, my granddaughter mentioned a few things she wanted for her birthday (in December!) Somehow that got morphed into a trip to Barnes and Noble, where "one toy each" turned into three toys apiece. It's all good.
We are finally back at the house. As I've mentioned before, all of the animals lose their minds a little when the kids are here. They must think there are two more bodies to compete with, so they go into overdrive to get my attention first.
Dash is showing off! He has been running and jumping and soaring through the air just like a kid saying, "Look at me!!" My granddaughter just caught him attacking Rooney's tail. He knows better than to do that to Jack. Last night I rescued him after he decided to pound on Jack's back while he was eating! Jack stopped and looked at me like, "Okay. We have an agreement. I won't kill him as long as you keep him away from me while I'm trying to eat!"
I think I should go be Gigi now. The natives are restless. They have been patiently waiting for me to finish writing. And besides, I need material for tomorrow's blog!
