Day Two Hundred Eighty Nine

Big Day for Pap and Gigi

The grands were gone all week and returned today. It is so good to see them and we are catching up on all the fun and excitement they had on their trip. Of course their return always means the fur-kids get all bent out of shape.

Jack and Rooney - They know treats will be forthcoming. For example, we made a McDonalds stop and brought them home plain hamburgers. They knew when we walked in the door with the McD bag there were burgers in there. Each one gets two burgers cut into small pieces. It is a big deal. Then, when I made ravioli for supper, of course they expected some. Their obesity is entirely our fault.

Fancy and Eli - As the resident "mature" guys, they like to pretend having two kids in the house is no big deal. It really is, they just have to act cool to keep up appearances. However, they don't miss a trick and make sure I don't neglect them while I'm otherwise occupied.

Chance and Finn - Finn loves Lily and hangs around for attention. Chance is Chance.

Dash - He hasn't been here long enough to realize the kids being here means everybody else gets away with murder. He is a quick learner and I caught him sizing up the situation.

Boo! - Last but not least, our baby girl knows L being here means cuddle time. L walked in and immediately found Boo! and scooped her up. They make such a cute team.

Copper - He/she hasn't seen L in awhile but it was obvious she remembered her. We gave him/her lots of crickets which I had to buy on the way home.

Everyone is settled. E is doing makeup homework with his Pap, who used to be a teacher. L is watching The Return of Jafar; something she is excited about since they performed Aladdin on the cruise ship.

I love having a full house! Miraculously, my back is cooperating! Life is good...
