One of Those Days
It is stacking up to be a typical Patti morning. The trouble started with a call to our cable company to try and figure out why we can no longer access Wi-Fi on our TV. I think it's a conspiracy. Anyway, that only managed to frustrate me and I politely told the tech it would be better for both of us if we ended the call before I went into Crazy Mode. He did not argue.
Next. I wanted to make sure packages got to my Grands before Friday and made arrangements to meet my son to hand deliver them instead of relying on the Postal Service. I was all set to leave, and was settled into my car with coffee and a cold drink; my phone on Pandora and the top down. I went to start the car and it was stone cold dead. Ahhhh - so that's what happens when you leave your key in the ignition on ACC so you can listen to music while unloading groceries and then forget about it until the next day when you can't find your keys and voila! - there they are, still in the car...Who knew?
Now, my husband is extremely patient when it comes to dumb stuff the rest of us do. He is amazing. I could have called AAA but didn't want to wait until next Tuesday for them to arrive, so he said he'd come home to help. That he has to stop to buy jumper cables because we haven't had to use them since college days, adds to his sainthood.
Okay, so what does this have to do with animals? Not much except, through it all, they have sensed my tension. My son called me on it when he said I needed to calm down about Valentine gifts when it's only the 9th. I get very focused and want everything to be just so. Well, what I've accomplished is getting everyone and thing in an upheaval. I'm having heart palpitations, the cats are running around like there's a fire somewhere, poor Andy has to come home to "jump" me (let it go) and Copper will have to wait for crickets. Speaking of which, she has consumed 100 crickets since Saturday. I'm not sure that's a good thing....
On an entirely different note - Dash and Boo! got to experience their very first fire last night. The fireplace is finally finished and I had a nice fire going last night. Boo! was extremely interested in the firewood but Dash sat staring at the flames for quite awhile. He looked like he was mesmerized.
